The Arts of Great Falls is thrilled to present a Special Exhibit featuring 64 plein air paintings created during last week's 11th Annual Paint Great Falls artist competition. This vibrant showcase captures the beauty of spring landscapes and iconic scenes across Great Falls, as seen through the eyes of 40 talented artists who painted en plein air—a French term meaning “in the open air.”
Throughout the week, artists set up their easels in meadows, along riverbanks, in village corners, and outside historic landmarks including Colvin Run Mill and The Grange. Working quickly to capture the fleeting light and energy of spring, each artist brought their unique style and perspective to the scenes that make our town so special.
From budding trees and blooming gardens to historic architecture and lively street scenes, these 64 paintings offer a rich, colorful snapshot of Great Falls in May. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a local resident, or simply someone who loves the changing beauty of the seasons, this exhibit is a must-see.
