Description
In this progressively oriented beginner drawing course, our objective is to develop drawing and seeing skills in serious young artists.New students will learn the three important parts of starting a drawing: 1). the envelope 2). the separation of light from shadow, and 3). the five-value scale. Through the use of simple still life objects, students will practice perspective and proportion under a single light source. With charcoal on toned paper, participants will learn how to see and successfully articulate monumental shapes of light and shadow, create the illusion of depth, and fully realize tonal relationships.
