Description
In this course, our young artists will learn how to build amazing clay pieces using hand building and slab building techniques to sculpt the clay. Our young artists will learn how to use clay tools to create dimensionality in the clay and carve intricate details. Once the sculpting is complete, the clay will be fired and students will then learn glazing techniques to create details and contrast in their sculptures. Claire is the Arts of Great Falls Director of School and is a talented sculptor. Claire has been teaching art since 2014 and has taught students from elementary school - college. Claire received her B.A. in Art Practice from Stanford University in 2014 and her M.F.A. from Maryland Institute College of Art Rinehart School for Sculpture in 2019.
