Painting, a Process with Christine

Learn tools to get more successful painting every time with Christine Merry! Do you stare at a blank canvas and wonder how to translate the scene, photograph, or still life before you into a compelling painting? Do you wonder how to avoid the pitfalls that can result in flat or uninteresting painting, or a painting where “something is just off?” Then this class is for you! Learn a step-by-step process to help you analyze the elements you will include in your painting. Breaking the process into smaller chunks will result in you having more confidence as you attempt to cover the big canvas. In this class we will paint from photographs, although setting up a still life will also be an option. You can bring your own photograph or still life objects, or use a photo supplied by me. If class is cancelled due to inclement weather or teacher illness, a makeup class will be held 5/18.
