Plein Air in Oil with Dipali Rabadiya

All levels welcome! Plein Air is the practice of painting outdoors on a portable easle. We'll learn Plein air skills with small paintings that will help us observe and capture scenes quickly and with freshness. We will meet in designated outdoor locations each week. Learn to paint with a limited palette and step by step approach to Dipali Rabadiya's 'Alla Prima' technique. You’ll learn the fundamentals of good design, creating sketches, and value studies to plan a composition that works. Experience the power of warms and cools, complementaries, harmony, edges, shape-quality, variety, simplifying, loosening brushwork, elements of design, elements of light and shadow, the power of suggestion and seeing in terms of mass and shape relationships. Rain plan will be make up day on June 25th or paint on the back porch at Arts of Great Falls School.
