Youth Comics Workshop

Description

Learn trace, transfer, and transform techniques to draw FAN ART of your favorite comic book characters. In this two-hour workshop we will work from reference photocopies of well-known comics characters from 1940s up until today. Kids will learn to create a world around the character that helps to define their character's personality, powers, and prowress. Designing your own character and their world is encouraged as well. This workshop pairs well with Kerry Roeder's History of Comics Community Art Talk on Friday March 7th from 6-8 pm in the Historic Schoolhouse.
