ABOUT THE CLASS: Discover how satisfying and accessible oil painting can be through the timeless "wet-on-wet" technique popularized by Bob Ross. Designed to build total confidence—especially for beginners who feel intimidated by oil mediums—this six-session course equips you with the foundational skills to create four stunning, finished landscape paintings. Under expert guidance, you will master specialized tool handling to render iconic "happy little trees," soft atmospheric clouds, majestic mountain ranges, dynamic water reflections, and glowing sunset light. By combining key theoretical principles with hands-on practice, you will learn practical strategies for building depth, blending values directly on the canvas, and bringing colorful natural scenes to life in a welcoming, supportive studio setting. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Araksi Martirosian-Janssen is a dedicated artist and Certified Ross Instructor (CRI) who trained at the Bob Ross Art Workshop in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. For nearly a decade, she has shared the joy of painting across community art centers, private resorts, and her personal studio, empowering students of all experience levels to embrace their creative potential. In addition to her mastery of Bob Ross's wet-on-wet technique, Araksi studied classical oil painting under Herdin Radtke, founder of the Pomponism movement. Her encouraging, step-by-step approach ensures every student leaves class with beautiful artworks and renewed confidence in their artistic abilities.
