Description
Let creativity and engineering come together as campers design their very own dollhouse from the ground up in this multi-media art camp! From planning the structure elements to decorating interior and exterior walls, children will explore key STEAM skills especially art, design, and hands-on engineering. Campers will craft their own furniture and even create handmade dolls to bring their miniature world to life. This imaginative, skill-building camp is perfect for makers, artists, and young builders alike. INSTRUCTOR BIO: Michelle Rudd has 11 years of experience teaching art and creative enrichment at Chesterbrook’s Summer Quest camp and Spring Hill’s after-school program. Michelle Rudd has led students through everything from traditional figure and portrait drawing to dynamic mixed-media projects. Michelle Rudd also brings 11 years of kindergarten teaching experience and three years in special education, giving her a strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt instruction to a wide range of learners. In addition, Michelle served as a contractor and contributor for the Smithsonian’s All Access Digital All Arts Camp for three years, helping create accessible and engaging art experiences for children and teens. Michelle is an active visual artist specializing in the human form through drawing and painting. She works in acrylic, watercolor, conte crayon, pencil, pastel, and charcoal. CLASS DATES: 8/3 - 8/7 Monday- Friday 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Ages 8-13 yrs old. ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED.
