Evening Paint with Jill Banks

Capture still life, landscape and portraits in oils with Jill Banks! All levels are welcome and instruction will be tailored to your needs. This evening course will focus on the fundamentals of oil painting with two sessions devoted to still life, two to landscapes (from your photo references) and two to portrait/clothed figure from a live model.  (Those not wanting to paint from the model may work from their own still life setup.) Model and still life material fees are extra and will be paid directly to the instructor. (Model fees will be split between all students regardless of whether they choose to paint them.) Instructor Bio: Highlights of Jill’s 20+-year art journey include her 100 Faces in 100 Days Project in 2011 and many awards. Recently she won Best of Show in the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society 2025 Associate Online Exhibit, the Winner’s Circle Award in Paint Great Falls 2025 and Best of Show in the American Impressionist Society 2024 Associate Online Exhibit. Her work has been featured in American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, PleinAir, Modern Impressionist, élan and Southwest Art magazines. Class Series Dates: 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/24.  No class on 3/17. Make-Up Day due to instructor illness or inclement weather: Saturday, April 4th. Three of the class sessions are extended by 30 minutes – on February 10th, March 10th, and March 24th, class will end at 9:30pm.
