ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Immerse yourself in five centuries of classical realism and discover the art of creating powerful, aesthetically compelling floral paintings. Taught by nationally renowned master artist Robert Johnson, this intensive two-day workshop equips painters with time-honored techniques passed down through generations of master artists. Beginning with an in-depth live demonstration, you will learn the secrets of arranging paintable still-life setups, mastering value structures, achieving harmonious color mixing, and controlling soft and hard edges. Through individual guidance, personal critiques, and dedicated studio time, you will start three to four original paintings while developing expressive brushstrokes, strong compositional design, and a refined artistic vision. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Robert Johnson is a nationally acclaimed painter and designated Master Member of Oil Painters of America (OPA). Since dedicating himself to painting full-time in 1987, he has earned top national honors from The Artist’s Magazine, the Salmagundi Club of New York, and OPA, including the prestigious American Art Collector Award of Excellence. With over twenty solo gallery exhibitions across the United States, Robert is a highly sought-after instructor who has taught workshops throughout North America and produced seven popular instructional videos. Known for his painterly elegance, mastery of light, and generous teaching style, he helps artists at all stages elevate their technique and creative expression.
