Family Friendly Workshop: Sunday September 27th 2 - 5 pm. Turn your favorite pet photo into a lasting work of art with Ana Schwar! All materials included. All ages 8+ and all levels welcome. One ticket buys supplies for one adult and their accompanying child. Additional children will be invoiced $75 separately. Contact info@artsofgreatfalls.org to register additional kids. Celebrate your furry (or feathered!) friends through acrylic painting. Learn step-by-step techniques to create a unique portrait of your pet—from transferring your photo to canvas and mixing colors that capture fur and features, to adding expressive details that bring your pet's personality to life. Please email the photograph of your pet to chabelamaal@gmail.com two weeks before the workshop so I can size it and print it to have it ready to transfer to the canvas. She brings an expressive, intuitive approach to her work, often blending design principles with fine art techniques to create unique pieces. Originally from Venezuela, Ana earned her B.A. in Graphic Design from the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas before relocating to Northern Virginia in 1989. Over the years, she has built a multifaceted creative career that includes illustration, graphic design, textile design, and art direction. She has collaborated with national and international clients such as the World Bank Group, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and major retailers like Whole Foods Market, Lidl, Target, and Walmart.
