Portfolio Review with Michela Mansuino

Michela Mansuino will mentor your high schooler to reach a professional-quality art portfolio in preparation for college admissions. Each session will be booked and scheduled separately with a total of 3 sessions for $360. 1 purchased session is 1 hour of portfolio review by appointment only during weekends when Michela is teaching classes. In these three, one hour sessions, spaced over a period of 6 months to a year, students will gain valuable opportunity for growth and professional development. This orientation is designed to improve the quality of the work submitted and presentation skills. Michela Mansuino will offer feedback on your portfolio work, will guide you on creating the type of artwork readily acceptable by the university jury committee. First, we will assess what you still need to accomplish for your portfolio. Second, we will review the work being done to meet these goals, and set small deadlines for their completion. Third, to photograph and get these works into a format for the university/art school admissions. Most art schools typically ask for portfolio submissions in the Fall, between November and January. If you are in your Sophomore or Junior year, your first portfolio session session should occur in March-June. This will give you time to work on specific artwork during a Spring art class and one or two of the summer camps. Finally, we will create a PDF version of your portfolio for presentation purposes, write descriptions of each artwork and practice speaking about the art itself. INSTRUCTOR BIO: Michela Mansuino teaches youth and adult classes at The Arts of Great Falls, as well as teaching at Studio Incamminati's Human Realist Program in Philadelphia, where she studied. Michela has won numerous awards, including two honorable mentions from the Portrait Society of America, first prize in the Strictly Painting Competition, and was a finalist in the ARC International Salon. Many of Michela's students have been accepted into prestigious art college programs.
